I am sure that for many of us that moment we do something for the first time is simply mind blowing. But what if it is something that many people take for granted everyday.yesterday I spend the day with Sean Adams at the UK Thuasne workshop in London where forbthe first time in 10 years I actually stood up straight, without crutches and believe it or not with a reduced level of pain in my legs as well as in my spine.I have CRPS Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and life for me is one of constant pain so great it is higher on the spectrum than amputation without anesthetic and childbirth. imagine being dipped in acid ot having your skin pulled off and this will give you some idea. So to have any level of pain reduced for me is a life changing experience. But what is the plan? Well I am so proud to have teamed up with Thuasne, Thuasne UK and Thuasne USA to pianeer disability adventure as I take on the tallest freestanding mountain in the world Mt Kilimanjaro. This record breaking attempt as the first person to reach summit with CRPS will be matched as the first time this technology has been pushed to these kinds of limits. Thuasne have redesigned, re-engineered and put every inch of the teams skills in place to make this challenge leaps and Bounds closer to being achievable. The power of a vision from myself for wanting to prove that lifes obstacles are there to be challenged. Add in Sean Adams. One man's belief in the possibility of the technology he works with everyday and the positive attitude of a crazy guy he met at Naidex 2024. And then there is the Global team at Thuasne who took to the drawing board to come up with a set of KAFO's that are do beautifully crafted that it's an honour to put them on let alone use them. This is team work in the most raw state and the best bit is I have only actual me a handful of the people involved. We don't always need to know the people we work with but we do have to have trust and faith in thier skills and abilities to get the job done. #KAFOS #trust #crps #motivated #teamwork
