By the victory, the Lions retained A chance to win the western divisional title for the championship in the National league. A record crowd of 20,000 saw the Lions hammer through the Chicago defense for 43 yards to get within scoring range in the first quarter. Shepherd faded back and heaved the ball into Clark's arms in the end zone the first score, Clark added the extra point.

Ace Gutowsky whipped a lateral to Clark, and the Detroit star squirmed away from Chicago tacklers and romped over the goal. His boot added the extra point. CARDS MAKE IT THREE.

CHICAGO, Nov. 28. (P)-The Chicago Cardinals scored their third victory of the season over the Green Bay Packers, 9 to 7, today in a bitterly contested pro football game at Wrigley field. All of the scoring came in the first half, with the Cards clinging ately to their two-point throughout the closing periods. Bob Monett, veteran Packer back who played 3 for Michigan State, took the ball on a spinner play early in the first period and ran 60 yards to the Cardinal goal for a touchdown.

Ernie Smith's placement was good for the extra point, Immediately after the Packers' kick-off Bill Smith of the Cards took a pass from Sarboe to put the ball on the Packer 45-yard line. Sarboe swept around left end to the 29-yard stripe and two plays later Bill Smith booted a field goal from the Packers' 30-yard line to cut the visitors' margin to four points. Less than three minutes later Cook intercepted Johnnie Blood's lateral pass to give the Cards the ball on Green Bay's 32. Sarboe passed to Mikulak and Doug Russell plunged to a first down. From a deceptive spread formation Al -Niceling, former St.
